Paula Fachado

Born in Pasajes de San Pedro (Guipuzcoa -Spain), begins her musical studies in the Conservatorio Superior de Música of San Sebastian. She moves to Barcelona and obtains the title of canto of the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona, under the professorship of Alfredo Kraus. In the Condal City is received by Jaime Francisco Puig (master of great figures of the lyric, such as Jaime Aragall and Jose Carreras) with whom perfects her technique for three years. She travels to Italy and receives master classes from Di Stasio and Guelfi in Rome and Franco Corelli and Terranova in Milano.

The maestro Corelli affirms that "I haven´t heard a voice of similar quality for a long time" and trains Fachado in order to continue the development of her professional career. Soon after she has her debut in Milano with "Cavalleria Rusticana" and she carries out "La Boheme" (Mimi) and "Carmen" (Micaela), offering also innumerable concerts and recitals in Italy (Roma, Milano, Torre del Lago, Mantova, Desio, Celle di Puccini, Varazze) and Spain (Barcelona, San Sebastián, Bilbao).

In 2002 she collaborates with Festival Puccini Torre del Lago in a tour through Japan (Tokio, Nagasaki and Kobe) with "Madama Butterfly" and does not cease her work as a solist in prestigious festivals, such as Quincena Musical de San Sebastian, where she achieves an enormous success of critic and public.

Subsequently, her artistic work has taken her to collaborate with maestros Ranzani, Rovaris, Miguel Angel Gomez Martinez and Carlo Camerini. At present she works with maestro Delfo Menicucci.
