The youngest son of Ernesto de Quesada Sr, has dedicated his life, as did his father, to the passion that both shared: the development of musical culture in Spain and in Latin America.
Born in Madrid , he and his family left Spain during the Civil War and initially settled in Mexico , where he went to grade school in “Colegio Cristóbal Colón”, studying privately at the time violin. Every Summer, after 1949, he and his parents spent their holidays in Spain at their property located in the base of Peñon de Ifach in Alicante.
Travelling extensively throughout Latin America with his parents, received private lessons in Buenos Aires, including history, literature and geography of Argentine…in Havana attended high school at the famous Colegio Baldor…In Boston went to Chauncy Hall prep school and in Cambridge studied Civil Engineering at the Massachussets Institute of Technology, but quit his studies before graduating in 1957 to work in what had been his lifelong dream: to assist his father in Conciertos Daniel. In 1972 when his father died, he took over the direction of the Madrid headquarters. In 1996 he reorganized the company calling it Hispania Clasica.
Married for 50 years. His hobbies have been music (of course), reading and computers. Not so often now, he and his wife have travelled extensively, and photography, for which he got some prices in local contests. He is in the process of unhurriedly writing his memoirs, which he plans to finish in about two more years. Recently retired, he continues giving guidance offering his vast experience as President Ad-honorem.
