When you see her, you know what she is capable of, as the young pianist has a potential seldom found nowadays. Influenced by her artistic upbringing she developed an interest in classical music at an early age and soon discovered her love for the piano.
The 23 years old Philomela Eva Terwey received her sound training with such musical greats as Homero Francesch and Dame Moura Lympany. Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen and Paul Badura-Skoda are also stimulating her talent.
At her performances throughout Europe, both as a soloist or as duo with her sister and also with well-known orchestras, in Basel, Bochum, Dusseldorf (Tonhalle), Bogota (Teatro Roberto Arias Perez de Colsubsidio), Rome (Teatro Ghione), London (St. John's Smith Square), Valencia (Palau de la Música), Festival Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Festival Semana Musical Llao Llao Argentina, the Netherlands etc? she enchants her audience again and again. Future engagements include performances at Tonhalle Zurich, Grosse Musikhalle Hamburg, Festival Schloss Weilburg, in South America...
Her performance is contrast with calculus, elegant, sensitive and emotional, also powerful, sovereign and full of inspiring charm ? which thrills the audience. She always stays loyal to herself which in particular makes her so unique. She is an interpreter, who always becomes one with the spirit of the composer and convincingly succeeds in realising what she is feeling.
