Tone sonority of the landscape pictures

With I .Albeniz`s “El Albaicin” from the Piano suite “Iberia” opened Roman Zaslavsky his “The romantic blossom of the European music” recital in the “Altes Rathaus”. And indeed, one could feel this romantic flavor from the very beginning of the evening: with the whole passion expressed in the music of the Spanish Piano virtuoso, brilliantly evoked Zaslavsky -virtuoso the impersonations of the landscapes of Iberia . Already in his young years honored with the international prizes pianist mastered the typical folk guitar-idiom with the precision of his touch, underlining the characteristic song and dance rhythms with the greatest sensitivity and much temperament.

The next following F. Liszt pieces- “Sonata quasi Fantasia Dante”, “Sonetto 104 del Petrarca” from “Annes de Pelerinage” as well as Etude N10 from “Etudes d`execution transcendante”- a challenging expose of the technical abilities demanded from the Virtuoso a sovereign possession of the instrument. His performance was filled with the finest balance and the sense of sound while delighting the extremes of Liszt's romanticism… The grand piano in the “Rathaus” turned to be a real miracle of the sonority…

An Event on the Keys

Roman Zaslavsky and his piano recital in Gottesaue

A marvelous piano recital in Veltesaal of Schloss Gottesaue revealed a stage of our actual music culture. A showered with prizes pianist presented an attractive, full of fantasy program…

…A pianist Roman Zaslavsky is an outstanding master of the engrossed Virtuosity as well as of the sensible forming of the nuances without any type of the arbitrary mannerism; Zaslavsky`s playing reminds in this fine balance of the virtuosity and the sense of sound, in the challenging of the extremes without any chase for the hollow effects the playing of young Ivo Pogorelich.

Zaslavsky played the Debussy “Estampes” with the finest balance between the sound layers; he formed the Brahms Intermezzi op.117 with the lucidity and the sincerity, which reject every false sentimentality, thanks to his sensible music shaping competence. The Schumann's “Symphonische Etueden” were performed engrossed, yet powerful in Theme and Finale, altogether with the lightness and the finest sense of sound; even in the extreme high Tempos he managed to maintain the clearness of the rhythmical structures and the dynamic values of every etude.

This top-class piano recital was remarked by Zaslavsky`s convincing abilities to form the music substance based on his virtuosity and a capacity of the intensive shaping of the dynamic and sound shades, that turns his interpretation to a breathtaking event.

A pianist possesses an immense aptitude: after the Schumann's “Symphonische Etueden” he brought the Liszt`s Dante-Fantasy also on the same spectacular level.
